Body massage
Body massage, also known simply as massage, is a therapeutic practice that involves the manipulation of muscles, soft tissues, and body structures to promote relaxation, relieve tension, and improve overall well-being.
During a treatment I will apply various techniques and pressures to different areas of the body. The session can target specific areas of tension or cover the entire body, depending on your individual needs and preferences. Body massage offers a range of potential benefits, including stress reduction, muscle relaxation, improved blood circulation, enhanced flexibility, and relief from muscle soreness or pain. It can also have positive effects on mental well-being, promoting a sense of calm and relaxation, an improvement to sleep and aiding the improvement of characteristics of other ailments.Body massage with hot stones
This treatment is as above with all of the benefits previously stated, plus more. This type of treatment is more therapeutic promoting deep relaxation through the combination of massage and warmth.
The heat from the stones dilate the blood vessels increasing the blood flow to the treated areas. Enhances circulation aids the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the body’s tissues and muscles.Thai Pressure Massage
Thai Pressure Massage is a traditional treatment which originated in Thailand. It is a form of bodywork which involves palm pressing and pressure presses providing an intensely unique and therapeutic experience.
This treatment is carried out on a mat on the floor and you are fully clothed. It is recommended you wear something comfortable. I then use the techniques of stretching, palm pressing and pressure points across some of the body’s sen lines (there are over 72,000!). This treatment typically restores the body’s balance with the added benefits of aiding the improvement of flexibility, relaxation, reducing muscle tension and improving circulation. When pressure is applied to an area, it restricts blood flow momentarily and encourages a rush of fresh blood flow to that treated area when the pressure is removed giving a sudden burst of the body’s oxygen and nutrients.
