Thermal-Auricular Therapy

Also known as Hopi ear candling, is a complementary therapy technique that involves placing a hollow, cone-shaped candle into the ear canal. The candle is typically made of cotton or linen soaked in beeswax or paraffin and infused with herbs or essential oils.

During a Hopi ear candling session the tapered end of the candle is gently inserted into the ear. The opposite end is then lit, and as the candle burns, a slight vacuum effect is created. This is believed to help draw out impurities, excess wax, and debris from the ear canal.

It is thought that Hopi ear candling can help relieve various conditions such as earwax buildup, sinus congestion, headaches, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and improve overall well-being. However, it’s important to note that scientific evidence supporting the effectiveness of ear candling is limited, and it is considered controversial within the medical community.
